A member driven club organized in the interest of conservation and the preservation of wildlife
From its humble beginnings more than 55 years ago (when meetings were held in an old chicken coop) the Wisconsin River Sportsmen's Club has grown and developed into a not-for-profit organization that not only provides and supports shooting activities, but also gives back to the surrounding communities.
Through our many volunteer efforts and / or funding support to various organizations, we help support our communities and promote conservation and wildlife preservation.
A club is only as good as it's members and our members are delighted with this club
We think it's a pretty darn good club and feel that when a group of individuals come together with a collective intention, it can be a powerful thing. Our points system requires our members to participate and be actively involved in the club.
While WRSC is a members only club, there are many club sponsored events that are open to the public. Please see our Events calendar or the Goings-On sections below to find out more.
We are proud of our facility and the opportunities for our members to enjoy shooting and social activities
In order to maintain our Club, we ask each member to participate and take an active role in Club activities. Our annual membership dues are purposely kept low with each member required to earn points for hours of effort, throughout the year to remain in good standing.
If you would like more information on becoming a member such as the process, the time it takes, the point program or to just download the application form, please see below.
WRSC is excited to be able to help Lake Marion become a showcase recreational area once again. Our members will be participating in rebuilding the fishing platform, assisting in other conservation efforts around the lake and is looking forward to hosting fishing days and other events that promote sportsmanship and conservation.
Each April, our Super Raffle Event is held. This is our main fundraiser and raffle tickets include a scrumptious meal, a chance at the $3000 grand prize, gun raffles, silent auction, bucket raffles, games and more. More than $10,000 in cash or merchandise was awarded last year! our regular Super Raffle event. This year's event will be held on April 27th.
WRSC is proud to be the newest club member of the Quad County Chain Shoots. Starting in October and ending in April, the QCCS rotates between 9 different trap clubs across 4 South Central Wisconsin counties. These are 50 bird events (25 - 16yd line & 25 Handicap) with the final "Jackpot Shoot" on Sunday April 14th at North Bristol Sportsman's Club.
Our rifle sight-in range has concrete shooting benches at 50 and 100 yards. You must be a member to use the range. The range is closed during other shooting events that are open to the public
For several years, WRSC has provided a scholarship to a Wisconsin Heights High School Senior going on to continue their education. A gun raffle is held each summer to raise the necessary funds.
Our Winter, Early Summer and Summer trap leagues are open to the public Even if you don't want to be part of the league, you're welcome to come out and shoot. Please see the events calendar below for dates and times.
